Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026

ScandaloBK, Inc. (“Scandalo,” “we” or “us”) operates scandalo.nyc. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit our website, join our mailing list, contact us or interact with our event links.

Information you give us

Our mailing-list form asks for your first name, last name and email address. We use subscriber information only to promote our events and merchandise through Mailchimp.

If you email us about an event, booking or another question, we receive your email address and the information and attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and manage the conversation.

Website services and technical information

Our website is hosted by WordPress.com, operated by Automattic. Hosting and related services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and page requests to deliver and protect the website. Their handling of visitor information is explained in Automattic’s visitor privacy notice.

Our gallery displays Instagram content through LightWidget. Loading this embedded content connects your browser to third-party services, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. See LightWidget’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s Privacy Policy. Following a post or the Follow button takes you to Instagram.

The website also loads fonts from Google Fonts. These requests connect your browser to Google’s servers. See Google Fonts privacy information.

Mailing-list delivery and measurement

Mailchimp processes signup information and helps us deliver emails and manage subscriptions. Campaign reports show delivery, open and click activity. Where tracking is enabled, Mailchimp uses tracking pixels and tracked links that can record interactions, together with technical information such as an IP address and timestamp. These reports help us understand how our emails perform. See Mailchimp’s privacy information and Cookie Statement.

You can unsubscribe through the link in our marketing emails. You can also contact us about your subscription.

Event tickets, merchandise and external links

Our website links to services including Shotgun, Resident Advisor, our Spreadshop merchandise store, social networks and music platforms. Information you submit on those services is handled under their own privacy policies. Ticket and merchandise purchases take place on the external service rather than through a payment form on scandalo.nyc.

If an event service shares registration or attendee information with us, we use it to manage the relevant event and respond to related questions. The information available to us depends on the platform and event setup.

Cookies and your choices

Hosting services and embedded content may use cookies or similar technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser and use privacy controls offered by the relevant providers. Blocking cookies or external content can affect how some features work. Email open tracking can also be limited by blocking remote images in your email application, although clicking tracked links can still be recorded.

How information is shared

Information is handled by providers that support our website, email delivery and communications as described above. We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect rights, safety and security. External services may process information for their own purposes as explained in their policies.

How long information is kept

We keep subscriber records until you unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending you marketing emails. Mailchimp may retain limited unsubscribe, compliance or backup records under its own retention practices; unsubscribing does not necessarily erase every record held by the provider.

Privacy requests

You can contact us to ask about information we hold about you or request access, correction or deletion. Available rights depend on your location and applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or to respect an unsubscribe request.

Privacy contact: contact@scandalo.nyc.

Security and international processing

No website or transmission method is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Their policies explain their international processing arrangements. Visiting the website does not by itself replace any consent or other safeguards that applicable law requires.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and identify the effective date of the revised policy. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
